Is PineDrama free?

Yes. PineDrama is TikTok's app for short dramas. It is free to download, and there are no coins to buy and no pass: you watch every episode, with ads in between. That is the opposite of ReelShort or DramaBox, where the first episodes are free and the rest are sold.

What "free" means here

• Nothing to buy. The App Store lists PineDrama as free and shows no in-app purchases. Source
• Paid for by ads. TikTok sells advertising in three places in the app: the For You feed, the drama feed, and between episodes of a drama. Source
• It did not start that way. When it launched in January 2026 the app had no ads. Source

Where you can get it

TikTok's page for advertisers lists six countries: the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. It launched in the United States and Brazil. It is on iPhone and Android, made by TikTok, rated 13+, and on the US App Store it had 4.9 stars from about 52,000 ratings on Oct 10, 2026.

PineDrama next to the apps you pay for

For the four paid apps: the typical drama, from the 8,547 dramas whose paywall we have checked on the apps' own pages, as of Oct 17, 2026. The PineDrama row is from the sources above, not from a count of ours.

What we can't tell you

• Which dramas are on it. PineDrama has no website that lists its dramas, so we cannot track its catalog, and we cannot say whether a drama you found on another app is also free there.
• How many ads you will sit through. TikTok says where ads appear, not how often.
• How long it stays free. Nothing published says it will change, and nothing promises it won't.

If the drama you want is on a paid app

• See how much of it is free before you start: look it up here.
• Some whole dramas are posted officially on YouTube. The ones we found.
• The dramas that give away the most episodes: the list.
• Coins, discounts and check-in rewards: ways to pay less.
