Is DramaBox free?
Partly. The app is free and every drama starts with free episodes. We counted them on 2,380 DramaBox dramas: the typical drama gives 9 free episodes out of 50, about 18% of the story. Then the paywall starts.
How many free episodes you get
| Free episodes | Dramas | Share of all |
|---|---|---|
| 5 or fewer | 206 | 9% |
| 6 to 9 | 1,328 | 56% |
| 10 to 14 | 809 | 34% |
| 15 to 19 | 33 | 1% |
| 20 or more | 4 | 0% |
Counted from the first locked episode on each drama's page on DramaBox's website.
What it costs after that
DramaBox does not publish a price per episode on its website, so we can't total a drama the way we do for ReelShort. Before you unlock anything, open the unlock button in the app and compare the coin price with the weekly pass. On ReelShort, the one app whose prices we can total, the pass is the cheaper way to finish most dramas if you watch them within the week.
Ways to watch more without paying
- DramaBox posts some whole dramas on its official YouTube channel. See the ones we found.
- Daily check-ins in the app give small amounts of free coins.
- Pick dramas with a long free run. The list below starts with the most generous.
