Rules that matter
An original short film generated or enhanced with AI, entered alone or as a team, with a document describing how AI was used. The organiser's page states no category limits and no limit on length; the 2026 theme was 'Imaginatio Nova'.
Good to know
The deadline was extended from June 1 to June 2, 2026. Winners were announced on September 6, 2026 on the Lido during the Venice Film Festival; all ten finalists were invited with travel and accommodation paid. Reply says the finalists came from more than 3,000 shorts from 76 countries. Jury president was Gabriele Salvatores. An AI for Good Award was also given; its winner could not be confirmed on a page that was read, so it is left out. Countries are given only where a source stated them. No 2027 call has been announced; the page invites sign-ups for news of the next edition. The 2025 winner was Jacopo Reale, per the organiser's jury list.
